Pałac w Zebrzydowicach

Pałac w Zebrzydowicach, zabytkowy obiekt w powiecie cieszyńskim, to dawny gotycki zamek o bogatej historii. Pierwotnie wzniesiony na przełomie XV/XVI wieku, obecnie prezentuje się jako rezydencja w stylu barokowym, otoczona urokliwym parkiem.

W przeszłości pałac wielokrotnie zmieniał właścicieli i przechodził przez różne fazy rozwoju i przebudów. W 1764 roku został przebudowany na pałac barokowy przez barona Jana Ryszarda von Mattencloit, który nadał mu charakterystyczne cechy architektoniczne. Po licznych zmianach właścicieli i czasie świetności, w XIX wieku pałac popadł w kłopoty finansowe, a podczas II wojny światowej został zniszczony.

Po rekonstrukcji w latach 50. i 60. XX wieku, obecnie pełni funkcje kulturalne - Gminny Ośrodek Kultury oraz restauracja. Dodatkowo, tereny wokół pałacu zostały przystosowane do rekreacji, z amfiteatrem, molo widokowym i Ośrodkiem Sportów Wodnych "Młyńszczok".
